I am ready for a challenge....are you???

The Countdown Challenge
Rules and Sign-up

The goal of this challenge is to read the number of books first published in a given year that corresponds to the last digit of each year in the 2000s — 9 books from 2009, 8 books from 2008, etc.
The total number of books required, therefore, is 45.
This challenge lasts from 8/8/08 through 9/9/09.
Yes, it is retroactive to August 8th!
Crossovers with other challenges are allowed and your lists may change at any time.

(lets kick it up a notch, how about I make a rule that I have to already own the book, except for the 2009 ones... this should limit my spending, and still help me to work through my TBR pile)

Happy Reading Friends!

Namaste!

Hi Bloggy Friends!

Wow, I have missed you. Tons has happened but it is time to start again, and flip to a new leaf!
So once again I am going to start blogging daily, of course that means the posts will be short and meaningless, but hey my lifes pretty normal, (right?).
I have been trying to maintain two blogs (one was deleted today), not to mention work, school, and my newest obsession... So we all know that I am a reader who finishes books at an alarming rate... well last year I was given, and I devoured in six hours The Friday Night Knitting Club and decided I had to learn how to knit, so....

Speaking of new obsessions, yesterday I started my knitting lessons at the Knitterly.
In addition to starting my classes (my christmas gift from hubby), saturday was also Valentins Day and wow did I get a treat.... hubby bought me a new purse/knitting bag that looks like this (Namaste Newport in Peacock), and today he is getting me a needle clutch, but I get to pick that out. I think I am going to go for the Hollywood Pink. The rest of our first Valentines days consisted of dinner from our favorite sushi restaurant, and a marathon of lovey dovey movies.

Okay so Lesson #1 consisted of the following:
Reading the packaging on yarn- determining the fiber content , recommended needle size Washing Instructions and length.
Types of needles available (lucky me I already have a full size set of Clover Bamboo also from my darling husband at Christmas)-which is why I need the clutch!
Learning the differnt ways yarn is packaged (hank, skein, ball)
Spinning a hank of yarn into a ball of yarn.
Casting on a new project
The Knit/Garter Stitch
I attached a couple picutures of my new purse, and how far I am on this weeks project.

Next Week we learn how to bind off a project, another new stich and then onto making a scarf.

*because this place is the safest to share*

Wow, I never seem to blog anymore... and I often burn through my reader, and then do not post any comments...so guess that makes me a shitty bloggy friend.
So people keep asking me where I have been, and I really appreciate all the emails I have received! Thank you so much to you all!

ok fill you to what has been going on.

1. I am back in school (full time) and its kicking my ass
did i mention that I also work 40plus a week??

2. Max and I are trying to get pregnant again, and its a lot more emotional then I thought!
Everyone says it will happen when we stop trying, but I can not seem to stop "trying"

3. My nightmares about my fathers death have returned.... I have not had one since I realized I was in love with Max, but suddenly they are back... and they really suck!

4. Our finances are doing better, we are paying off my mom this year... and then next year (with a goal of 3years) we will get everything paid off.

5. OK there is lots more going on, but I am ready to head to bed, so g'nite bloggy friends.
