it took 4 four attempts but finally gauge was achieved
...and I am ready for cast on...
this is by far my most ambitious project,
something to wear, that also includes following a pattern, and new stitch techniques
as of last night I was onto the 3rd direction...
here is where TULIP is at now...

yeah!! That looks really good so far. Good luck with that if it works I'll have to borrow the pattern.
great going on getting the exact gauge.
i am one of those bad knitters that never test my gauge.... seriously. unless of course i am substituting yarn.
