Mailbox Monday

Well its that time again, and this week the mailbox brought two new fun readers...

Review
“It’s the oddest/sweetest mix of Little House on the Prairie and X-Men. I was smiling the whole time (except for the part where I cried). I gave it to my mom, and I’m reading it to my kids—it’s absolutely multigenerational. Prepare to have your heart warmed.” —Stephenie Meyer, The Twilight Saga"

Product Description
"Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Kat's sister is chosen by lottery, Kat steps up to go in her place.

Mailbox Mondays are hosted by The Printed Page.

The Garden Project: Day 2

So yesterday, and today my darling husband spent his time removing all the weeds surrounding the flagstones. Right now he is over with his brother borrowing tools so as to start clearing space for my future garden of raised beds inspired by the Pioneer Woman. Sounds like we will be able to save money by using the wood that was left over from our wedding dance floor.
Thanks all of you for your wonderful suggesstions, I decided to go with both Veggies and flowers. I love color, and maybe we can grow some yummy things to eat too. Below are the packs of seeds that I was able to pick up at our local target and walmart. Todays project, which I should be able to do by myself is to start the seeds, so that is how I will spend my day. I am pretty sure that I can work on these pots without too much effort. (jepordizing my bedrest). The plan is to set them up, and start them in the house on my homework table. All my recent gardening knowledge and know-how was from my sissy JJ. She is pretty spectacular and doing the farm thing is her forte.

The Garden Project: Day 1

So Spring is here, and I have decided that I want a garden. One problem with that, I am on bedrest, which means someone else is going to have to create that garden.

Ok, so let's pretend that everyone is willing to help, since I can't do it myself.

What should I plant? Veggies, Flowers, Herbs? Anyone????

six months of marriage: a true testament of love...and win a free copy of Twilight!!!

Hello BF's, guess what! My hubby loves me. Yesterday was our 6months of marriage anniversary, and he brought home stunning flowers and a really sweet card.

it says: "the best thing that can happen to a person is to fine real love".... inside it says...
"and that's why the best thing
that ever happened to me
was finding you"

but wait there's more... he also stood in line at our local borders with the tweens of america to make sure that I got one of the limited copies of the Borders Exclusive Edition of Twilight.

...and then he even offered to watch it with me when I woke up this morning.
It's amazing how ten years of friendship, and just six months of courtship...can turn into marriage, and an oh so special relationship. Babe I love you so much, and really appreciate you braving the lines of Borders for me! Thank You!!!
I think I am going to keep this one ;)
My boy, and the movie!!!

Ok so since I was spoiled with this extra special Twilight edition... for my very first giveaway I will be giving away the Amazon basic edition of Twilight which should be here Monday or Tuesday... so enter with a valid email, and I will pick a random winner next saturday, and post on sunday.... if you blog/or follow me I will add your name a 2nd time.

Thanks Bloggy Friends!

...breaking news

I am home on bedrest, and watching last nights American Idol and
Gokey just finishing singing Jesus Take the Wheel...
there is just something about that song....
I am really struggleing with giving it to God right now.
With everything that went wrong with my previous pregnancies I am desperate to have a baby this october, I am currently 8 weeks, and baby is looking good but I have an Ovarian Cyst that is growing, and so I am on bedrest and praying it shrinks.
We were not planning to tell anyone yet, but with
everything going on we could really use the extra prayers...

Well, that kinda stinks, I lost more followers.....less people love me :(
I hardly ever post, mainly because I am lazy however I do check my reader daily.

I am still knitting, though I do have to delay my next two lessons until April since my month (March) is chalked full of Birthday hoopla.

Last tuesday for my 29th (which was 3/8) Babe and I went to see Wicked,
the show was amazing, I loved the entire proformance it was awesome.
Dinner with Amatchi and Tantta was pretty fabulous as well.

My actual birthday was pretty low key, just a fabulous dinner with our dear sweet newly engaged friends S&G (so happy for you kids!)

and then today..... we are celebrating Babe's 30th today (3/13 actual), with family bowling... I will let you know how I do.... should be fun with the little ones.

Challenge Update: I keep promising reviews but have yet to write any, so here is just a list of what I have read soo far from the list.
