Black Friday

Part I

OK so I take my Christmas shopping the day after thanksgiving pretty seriously. Below is a picture of my notebook, I have clipped the items I want, listing them with the name of the store, and the time the store opens.

From this page we have the following items:

Target 6am (new camera $89)

Circuit City 5am (Microsoft office $70)

Cost Plus 7am (puppet theatre $35)

Gottschalks 4am (bedding $30)

Part II

The Next step is to figure out who we are shopping

for and set a budget for each of these people.

This year things are pretty tight, so we have only

listed families with children...and our siblings.

For each couple we know, I will be creating some sort

of datenight, Oh and the camera was for me,

thats how I am able to once again post pictures.

Part III
At less than $10 each, we decided to buy a few movies for our library this year, so in no particular order the movies we got yesterday.
  • Devil wears Prada
  • The Christmas Shoes
  • Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (love this one)
  • The Golden Compass
  • Sleeping Beauty
  • August Rush
  • 21
  • Made of Honor
  • 27 Dresses
  • Juno
  • Hairspray
  • the Holiday
  • the List
  • Saving Sarah Cain

So tell me, how did you spend your Black Friday???

It looks like you were super organized for all the Black Friday Sales. This year I did not think I was going to go out (but I made my list just in case), but ended up going at about 7:45am. I did not really get many presents just things for us that had great prices. Stuff like movies, PJ's, kids towels, shoes, etc. We had a great time. It was actually my husband's idea to go out. I was totally shocked!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! I love that...and I don't know of anyone else who even knows what it is! Good work.

Oh yes, the infamous notebook. Shopping was blast. Hopefully next year we can get things organized a little better and get started earlier!

My word! You are the most organized shopper I have ever seen!

I didn't shop. I raked leaves - and yes, I will be posting the pics of leaf raking on Tuesday :)

Have a great week!

I LOVE the notebook w/pics!!!
I did not brave the shopping this year. I've heard tales from friends & I'm just not sure I have the moxey for it all?!
FYI...
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang gave me horrid nightmares as a kid. Now The Holiday I watch over & over soo cute!

Sick in bed with the flu (lol). But last year I did the Black Friday thing for the first time. I too and pretty meticulous and knew exactly where I was going, the route I was taking to get there, and everything that I wanted to get at each place. Then we had a nice breakfast out - me and hubby, something we never do. And went back to shopping. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but as with most things I enjoy, he hated every second of it. Maybe over these next 12 months I can make a friend (lol) and go with her next year.

I spent mine relaxing and decorating.
So tell us did you get the items? Was it crazy packed?

That is some serious organization. I am so jealous.
I've only attempted Black Friday once (last year) and got a flat screen TV for the house. This year we were driving to Disney so no shopping for me.
Looks like another year of procrastinating 'til the last minute.
What did you get?

@ LisaP
It must be a Lisa thing because Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was one of my all time favs as a kid. :)
